FREE 8X10 Canvas & Photoshop Elements tutorial

This tutorial is about putting 2 pictures together. You are still able to see both pictures, one being very opaque. I love the illusion created when combining 2 different photos.
We will be creating the far bottom right photo!!

Lets get started!! :)

I only have photoshop Elements, if you have Photoshop, I would think that this tutorial will be somewhat similar.
Start out with the background picture. For mine I found a beautiful High Resolution picture off the internet for free. If you would like my same picture, you can go here. Then open up a picture that you would like to overlay on top. (you can see both of the pics I'm planning to use on the bottom left corner)

Crop them both to the same size using the cropping tool

With your background picture on the screen, use the hand tool to drag your #2 picture (the one which will be overlayed) on top. So it will look like this!

Now make #2 picture the same size as #1 by clicking on it and resizing.
I needed to actually crop my #1 picture as I had more excess on the right side.

Now, on the right side is your "opacity"..... you need to have your #2 picture darkened (you can see that it is right under my mouse) I think it might be named "layer 1"... that way this is the layer you are making lighter.

Simply slide it to the left making it less in percentage.... I slid mine all the way down to 33%...that is the opacity I liked. You can play with it and see what your desired end picture is.

TADA!!!

I loved my end product! I'd love to see yours :)

*If you also like the textured look, you can apply a texture over the top (creating a 2nd layer) and also tone the opacity on that layer down. I did add a little bit of texture to my photo. It will look great either way.

This was the perfect time to get a beautiful picture like this framed...Canvas people are so generously giving away a free 8x10 canvas here . I actually upgraded mine to a 16 x 20 because the pricing was still so amazing and I wanted a larger canvas.

Sundance Global

So recently I became a consultant of Sundance Global, a healthy producer of food storage. I am very passionate about this company as I feel it a necessity for EVERY family to become prepared for any type of crisis. Sundance Global provides that type of security :)
It is so easy to make a Sundance Global meal. You simply add the entire package to boiling water and simmer. Voila!! You have a healthy, gourmet tasting meal - not only for food storage, but it definitely comes in handy for those nights when you just don't feel like cooking. I can guarantee that your family will NOT believe this is food storage.
Now that's the type of food I want to be living on if there was a crisis.... not some #10 can of beans or potato pearls :)

Looks delish right!!
